FRENCHMAN iron paddle tug.
O.N. 101802. 122g. 119n. 90.3 x 19.2 x 9.4 feet.
Post 1906: 137g. 39n. 100.4 x 19.2 x 9.2 feet.
L.2-cyl. (25” x 45”) engine by the shipbuilder. 45nhp. 350ihp.
13.6.1892: Launched as COQUET by J. P. Rennoldson & Sons Ltd., South Shields (Yard No.140) for Hugh Andrews, Warkworth.
8.1892: Completed.
1899: Sold to T. Gray & Company Ltd.,(W. H. Tulley, manager), Hull and renamed FRENCHMAN.
1906: Rebuilt and lengthened.
26.2.1918 until 6.5.1919: Hired by the War Office for service at Boston.
15.4.1921: Purchased by the United Towing Company Ltd., Hull.
1929: Converted into a steel dumb barge, 122g.
9.12.1963: Sold to David Cook Ltd., Saltend.
1968: Demolished by David Cook Ltd., at New Holland.
