3 cylinder Triple Expansion from Franklin Machine & Foundry Corporation - Providence (Rhode Island); in 1964 rebuild and motorised 4SA 8 cylinder Klöckner/Humboldt/Deutz, 400x580; 2x 4SA 6 cylinder Deutz 105 bhp each, connected to a generator 63 kW/220 V/50 Hz; 1x 4SA 4 cylinder Deutz 70 bhp connected to a generator 40 kW/ 220 V/50 Hz; 1x 4SA 2 cylinder Deutz 18 bhp connected to a harbour generator 6 kW/220 V/50 Hz; FiFi installation with Ruhr-pump driven by a Hansa engine 136 bhp capacity 180 m3/hr at 13 Bars; 1 monitor; foamtank 10 tons; 1 portable dieselpump 160 t/hr and 2 pumps each 100 t/hr; electrical towing winch and Bridle winch. 25 tons towing hook
800 ihp; after 1964, 2.200 bhp.

In 1974 brought in with Unie van Redding & Sleepdienst NV - Antwerpen.

from1945 till 1947 as EMPIRE MARTHA with Ministry of War Transport (William Watkins Ltd.) - Londen.
From 1947 till 1949 as FOREMAST 106 from James Contracting & Shipping Co.Ltd.- Southampton (other source London).
In 1964 motorised and rebuild at the own yard in Boom.
In 1981 in Terneuzen again somewhat rebuild.
March 1992 laid-up at Terneuzen and for sale.
In November 1992 renamed HILDE by Northern Europe Shipping Ltd. {De Neef Reederij BVBA} - Antwerpen (other source Gent).
In June 1994 to Jacques Bakker & Zonen PVBA - Brugge and broken-up.

No doubt that EMPIRE MARTHA became FOREMOST 106

1948 engine reconditioned by A Hall & Co Ltd, Aberdeen and uprated to 600ihp

1945 Ministry of War Transport (mng William Watkins Ltd, London), London as EMPIRE MARTHA (reg Hull, ON 180459)

2/1947 James Contracting & Shipping Co Ltd, London (reg London)
8/1947 renamed FOREMOST 106
1/1949 sold Belgium

As a steam tug.
But seems to have a fatter funnel than in the photo in Harvey/Turrell "Empire Tugs" (p56)
