Don't believe she ever was a crude oil tanker but more petro-chemical. Both her and sister DANGULF MAERSK were regularly visitors to the Du Pont plant at Maydown near Londonderry with cargoes of Napthalene.

She was not Bill. Her safety valves and entire vapour system (thanks Sven) was not suitable for chemicals. Naphtha or however you write it, is or was, not placed at the chemical list that time, but was a crude for the Chemical industrie. One could even transport Naphtha in OBO carriers!

Evening All

The above vessel and sister ship Dangulf Maersk were seen many times at Queen Elizabeth 11 Dock Eastham discharging at Number 4 berth to the Gulf Installation at Ellesmere Port I think on occasions they were discharging Lub Oil from Milford Haven this was taking place in the mid to late 60's after this I left the Merseyside for London in 1968.
