Rosyth Navy Days and Clyde Exercise

Post by Marco » Sat Apr 06, 2013 7:28 pm

I visited Rosyth in 1991 or 1992 for the Navy Days event and I've searched the internet for a list of ships present, without success. If anyone visited this event, and has a list of ships present, would you be so kind as to post it here.

On another note, I found some slides (dated September 1998) showing a naval exercise in the Clyde. I have managed to account for some of the ships present (details below) but am struggling with others due to the poor quality. Again, a list of ships present during this exercise would be greatly appreciated. The known ships (and possibles) are;

HMS Cardiff (D108)
HMS Coventry (F98)
RFA Fort George (A388)
SPS Canarias (F86)

HNLMS Karel Doorman ?
HNLMS Maasluis ?
HMS Beagle or HMS Bulldog ?

This is a diagram of the vessels present in May 1992 for the Navy Days at Rosyth. The disgram has not scanned too well but it should give you some clues. The notes alongdide the drydocks show what was actually in them as opposed to wha i originally thought.
