Naval Bucket Dredger
Launched as Empire Mammoth by Fleming & Ferguson, Paisley;Yard No 708, on 6/7/1945 as a Bucket Dredger for the Ministry of War Transport. 27/12/1972 capsized under tow.

195 ft x 40.1 ft x 12.5 ft
1-screw. T3Cyl. (15, 24 & 39 - 24)in. 180lb. 132MN.

Completed November 1945
1946 to the Navy Works Department and renamed ST. IVES
1963 to Ministry of Public Building & Works, London and Renamed BUCKET DREDGER W2
1964 to Ministry of Defence, London
1970 to HG.Pounds, Portsmouth and renamed ST IVES
1972 Sold to Italian Owners
27th December 1972 Capsized in heavy weather NW of Ferrol, Spain,
whilst under tow of the tug SMIT PIONEER on a voyage Portsmouth to Palermo.
