HMS Fairfield
Minesweeper, Aberdare Class
Launched by Clyde Shipbuilding Company Port Glasgow, Yard No 337, on 30/5/1919. Arrived for Scrapping 1952
800t normal
231ft x 28ft 6in x 7ft 6in
2-shaft, TE, 2 Yarrow boilers, Coal, 2,200ihp giving 16 knots
1 x 4in QF, and 1 x 12pdr AA.
Crew 74

3/2/1920 sold to South American Tours, Buenos Aires as FLECHA
(I don’t know if she was ever commissioned in the RN)
1936 J.G.Fernandes & Dr. M. de Freitas Valle e Silva, Porto Alegre
1937 to the Brazilian Navy as a Hydrographic vessel and renamed JACEQUAI
1942 converted to a corvette with 2 x 47mm guns
