This is my scratchbuilt model of Flying P ship Preussen, built to a scale of 25 feet to 1 inch. I photographed it from a low angle, and put it in a sea created by Photopshop.

Excellent model, the rigging is out of this world, I couldn't do it as neatly as that with pencil and ruler.

Thanks. The rigging is easy enough. It is fine copper wire, stretched slightly to make it straight. I then cut off the length required with a scalpel, pick it up in the middle with fine tweezers, dip each end in glue, and just place it in position on the model. Here is a free download on the building of the barque East African at a scale of 32 feet to 1 inch (1:384). It is only a few inches long! (See image below).
These models rarely attract more than a casual glance when I take them to the local ship model club, but collectors all over the world love them! It is just a hobby, I am almost 73 now, but spent all my working life at sea in the MN.
