Soviet Icebreaker Krasin. Pulls aside after leading convoy through ice.
I will be visiting this ship in a couple of weeks time, during a week long visit to Arkhangelsk and St Petersburg in connection with the 75th anniversary commemorative events for the arrival of the first Russian Convoy Operation Dervish. I will be in the company of Vetrans of the convoy as well as RAF personnel of 151 Wing which delivered the first Hurricanes to the Soviet Air Force.

Hope you have a great time and are well looked after.
My neighbour went up there early on in the DALDORCH?
He had some tales to tell. Best wishes. Colin

Thanks Colin. 50 of my convoy related paintings have been made into a book, along with reminicences from some of the participants. The books are to be presented to the veterans and VIPs. Some paintings will be in an exhibition as well. Don't think wife will enjoy it as much as me, but I'm sure we can find something to interest her as well.
