Some images of the 38 year old stalwart, Calmac's RAASAY, an Island-Class bow-loading passenger & vehicle ferry.

Builder : James Lamont & Company of Port Glasgow - Yard Number 425

23-03-1976 : Launched
30-04-1976 : In Service

IMO No. 7340435

Tonnages : 69 GRT / 33 DWT

Dimensions : 22.50 metres (73' 10") x 6.40 metres (21' 0") x 1.40 metres (4' 7")

Capacity : 75 passengers + up to six cars

Propulsion : Originally engines by Kelvin Bergius, later replaced by SCANIA D9 93M35 6-Cyl turbo-charged diesel engines

Normal Service Speed : 8 knots

Vessel originally built for the Sconsor, Skye - Isle of Raasay service which she maintained for her first 20 years, then became a spare/relief vessel for the fleet.
