DUNKERQUE VETERAN SKYLARK IX

Post by riverman » Wed Nov 28, 2012 5:36 pm

A sad sight indeed.

The Dunkerque veteran SKYLARK IX rotting in the River Leven at Balloch.
She saved 700 troops from the Dunkerque beaches in May 1940. :(

A couple of pictures here of Skylark leaving from the Maritime Museum in Dumbarton to begin her journey down to Irvine for restoration.
