It has been reported that earlier today STENA NAVIGATOR bound with 70 passengers and 47 crew from Loch Ryan to Belfast suffered a major propulsion failure and was adrift about 4 miles off Mull of Galloway.

The Svitzer tugs WILLOWGARTH and NORTON CROSS were tasked from Belfast by Coastguard to assist. However by time they arrived the casualty had managed to restore one engine and with the tugs escorting she limped to Belfast on one engine.
