PLANNED SITE MAINTENANCE - 27/28th DECEMBER

Post by mcmahos » Sun Dec 26, 2010 10:10 pm

Hi there

I'm planning on doing some maintenance updates to the site whilst taking the Christmas Decorations down which will involve the site going offline for short periods during Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th December.

If you can't get logged on, or get logged off for short periods, don't panic. If you can't get logged on after a day, get concerned; If you can't get logged on after a few days, send me some bottles of Whisky, Wine or anything alcoholic :)

I'm not planning anything major - so all should be well. Famous last words!

;) Stuart, I'm sure you will accomplish any slight modifications to the Site with your usual skill and aplomb, so preserving my 17 year old "Old Pulteney" and anyway I've already opened it!!

I for one have really appreciated the Christmas Update, so please feel free to add anything you think will brighten up the Site.

Grovel, grovel.............

"updates to the site whilst taking the Christmas Decorations down"
Now this is what is called multi-tasking, I am really impressed :)
What next, ironing and washing up while updating or can you find an assistant skilled in such chores? :D

Well - that seemed to go pretty smoothly.

Forum software has been upgraded to latest version, and the observant amongst you will notice that there is now a latest topic title appears above the poster's information in the forum listings. There's a couple of other minor tweaks to be done, hopefully tomorrow, but the forum should stay online during it.

For our newer members who have joined during December, the style that the forum used for Christmas (called Chrimbo) has been removed and it should revert to our standard layout style called TBF. If it hasn't changed, then please go to your User Control Panel where you should have the ability to select that style.

Another feather, Heid Honcho, you'll soon have more of these than the Parrotonian ;)
