Unknown ship

Post by peter sommerville » Tue Mar 29, 2011 8:39 pm

Can anyone throw any light on this ship or her owners. The photo was taken at Greenock in the 80's and was supposed to be the start of a weekly service to the east coast of the states - like many attempts to revive this route once all the big established names had gone - it failed and this ship only did one trip. I have posted it on Clydesite in the past with no luck but with a wider membership on CM I may jusy be lucky (although I have my doubts)

Thanks
Peter

Think it might be a Mexican outfit Peter.

Denholms ran a couple of ships for that owner late '70's , and am pretty sure the funnel markings
were the same.

Trust Delia enjoying the new kitchen.

Hi John how are you doing - if there was a new kitchen section I would post a pic.
Off to the caravan this weekend to open it up for the summer so i am hoping for no burst pipes

All the best
Peter

Fine Peter , looking forward to our trip back to the promised land in June.

You can always pretend it's a galley area and post under maritime art !.

Love to D.
