I sailed on her last September, so she was out last year.

I don't like the white either. It seems to have been blue forever and that is the way it should be. Shows off a beautiful shape, even for a workboat.

Have just spotted her in the Firth of Lorne. Well offshore but didnt look like there were any passengers on deck.

New owner up here perhaps?

She is doing (very expensive) cruises this season out of Dunstaffnage Marina, still operating for Clyde Marine under the Clyde Cruises. Perhaps another deal with a bus tour operator?

Photograph of her in the Firth of Lorne earlier this week. As Jamie said, she is operating cruises out of Dunstafnage Marina but you've got to look closely for the signs promoting her at the marina entrance and no advertising at all in Oban.

I often feel that their marketing leaves something to be desired.
I have not seen anything in the Oban Times apart from an editorial piece and a photograph of Hamish Munro on board The Second Snark, which appeared this week.
The cruises from Dunstaffnage are well covered in their website http://www.clydecruises.com together with booking details and timetables.
I'm not familiar with the media around Inverclyde so I don't know what advertising they do in that area.
Leaflets depicting the different cruises are always available on board the vessels.

Regards, Duncan.

Nice picture Alasdair, it is good to see her cruising again anyway.
I wonder if it could be another deal with a bus tour operator such as the one the Seabus did last year (McGills?) That would explain the lack of advertising - perhaps the income is already 'guaranteed' and anything else is a bonus?

Could well be Jamie, there are plenty of coach tours operating into Oban. Looks like the bus didn't turn up for that sail though - or else they are all down below for a cold beer!

Thanks for the complement on the photograph - she's way over by the Lismore coast there, so taken at the limit of the 270mm zoom I had with me.

Hi Duncan. I only saw the advert at Dunstafnage as we drove home or else we'd have definitely taken a sail on her

I see the Second Snark is back at Greenock, are there any plans for her?
