POLISH TUG AGIS

Polish tug AGIS Great Harbour, Greenock, today alongside the KOMMANDOR CALUM ex- SD SALMAID. : :)

Nice pics Paul she will be towed to Gdansk for refit and modifications. I have been told the SD Newton has been bought by a Dutch company who will take her to Holland for scrap.

She is still in the Great Harbour at Greenock under the name KOMMANDOR IONA

We have the new names of the two Sal class, but can anybody confirm the new owner, and any idea where the pair will be based?

Dave, There is a company called Hays Ships Ltd. who on their site have two vessels with the name Kommandor, I have a link for them but no mention of the ex Sal vessels.

Thanks for that. I have just looked at Equasis, which I should have thought of earlier, and KOMMANDOR CALUM is shown as belonging to Hays Ships since January; K IONA is not yet showing on the site.

Left Eemshaven in north Holland last evening now off Wangerooge bound for Brunsbüttel and the Nord-Ostee-Kanal. :wink:
