In 1988 when the Class 442 EMUs were being delivered to the Southern Region for the Waterloo to Bournemouth and Weymouth services pairs of Class 73s worked alongside these for a while hauling the old units whose very reliable traction motors were also being used to power the 442s!
73126 and 73107 arriving at Eastleigh.
73132 and 73207 also at Eastleigh. They worked a Push-Pull mode and this is them propelling.
