Never realised that the Eagle had done this but having said that I was not getting the Eagle by 1967. One disappointing feature of the later cutaways was that they were single page and black and white.

Built at Aberdeen in 1947 by John Lewis.In 1964 she became BARBAMIHALIS and was a visitor to Queens Dock As CAPITAO BISMARCK but given the name AVEIRO which was never applied she was broken up at Santander arriving on December 17th 1971 just short of 25 years from her launch.

The model is at Glasgow Museums Resource Centre at Nitshill in Glasgow where the models are stored when not on display. In Partick recently, October 2018 looking at the former D&W Henderson shipyard site now being built on noticed the building in front of the main high rise edifices in similar shape to the old shipyard office building. Is this someone with a sense of history bringing the past back?

EXPLORADOR

Argentinian registered Shell tanker built at Belfast in 1949. She suffered a fire & explosion at San Lorenzo on February 18th 1967 when loading petrol which claimed 9 lives. Finally scrapped in June 1968.

5552 SILVER JUBILEE

The first of Stanier's Jubilee Class of 4-6-0s introduced to the LMS in 1934. 191 were eventually built. She was withdrawn from BR as 45552 in September 1964 being cut up at Cashmore's yard at Great Bridge in 1965.

Built in 1885 she was withdrawn in July 1961. She and sisters worked the Lyme Regis Branch.

I love this shot of 92064 at I think Tyne Dock shed showing the bits and pieces lying around typically in a steam shed.
She was one of the batch adapted with air pumps for operating the ore hopper wagon doors on the Consett trains.

FIDRA 1956: Lamont, Port Glasgow

Coaster FIDRA for Salvesen launched from Lamont's on August 9th 1956.

In 1969 sold, she became and had a few other names following that. As NEGWAN she was laid up outside Tripoli, Lebanon from September 1st 1985 and sank there in bad weather on November 26th.
