Originally built as a railway bridge, later a roadway was added but cars and trains couldn't cross at the same time. When the line closed it was converted to road only - controlled by traffic lights.

Been to Oban several times now but not ventured up there - went to Pulpit Hill on the other side of the harbour though - good view up there!

Is that the one round the back of the Caledonian hotel? If so I agree it is a nice bit of chish and fips - as the bloody seagull that nicked it out of my hand would no doubt testify - thieving barsteward!!
