This is a straight bulk carrier - not ore/oil. No deck lines , no manifold etc.etc.

Again you mentioned more of the ships I sailed on . Was on them both ; Nordic Chieftain and Nordic Crusader.
Another set of nightmares - won't bore you with any details ! , better forgotten.

Think it might be a Mexican outfit Peter.

Denholms ran a couple of ships for that owner late '70's , and am pretty sure the funnel markings
were the same.

Funny you should mention the Nordic Clansman Paul , was chief mate on her more than 30 years ago.

Not too bad but a bit of a nightmare for the ginger beers.

We always seem to end up on her when we come across. Our booking for June with car and caravan shows
we are on her again.
Comfortable ship , well run but a little noisy below decks.

Just looked at the berth via Google Earth, seems to me to be rigged for port side to the quay. Always take this route with the caravan for hoildays back "home " and can assure you it is always starboard side too in Ijmuiden and North Shields. Bow ramp used in Ijmuiden and stern ramp in NS for obvio...

Sure takes you back in time hearing these old songs again.

Another of my favourites was "Dixie Darlin' " that they played regularly in the Bay Hotel , Gourock.
This was in the "60's , folk club was held in the public bar - side entrance , station road.
