Re: Forecasts / live radar

At the moment, my weather station is somewhat erratic and temperamental - think it's about to pack in unfortunately. However, when it's logging data, temperature is pretty accurate except on really hot days when I suspect it's a degree or two higher than it should be. Pressure should be reasonably a...

Re: From Clyde Yards to the Far East

Received this in an email yesterday: "I notice that in the post (Bill Harvey, Tues Feb 28 2012) that a lot of information is attributed to the late James Palfreyman and associates of Singapore. Whereas, after many years of research, I provided most (if not all) of the listed information to “Brian”, ...

Hi David

Try clearing your browser cache, and hopefully all those little icons will disappear! That's what I had to do. Let me know if you still have any issues.

Theme update problems

Hi there

As you'll see, there are some display problems with some of the small forum / topic icons following an update to the theme software. It shouldn't affect any postings at the moment, but I'll try and get it fixed tomorrow if possible.

Thanks

All being well, the update should now be complete. Let me know if you find anything not working or missing. SPAM attack

Morning all.

Overnight we had a spate of spam accounts registering and posting spam on the forum. I think I've removed them all and their posts. However, until further notice, any new member will need to have their account activated by an Admin.

Thanks for Posts

Last new feature to be added for now is a little button where you can thank a user for their post. At the right hand edge of a user's posting there should be a little thumbs up icon which you can click if you like the post. Afterwards, below their name and also within forum listings, you should see ...

Re: PLANNED SITE MAINTENANCE - 27/28th DECEMBER

Well - that seemed to go pretty smoothly. Forum software has been upgraded to latest version, and the observant amongst you will notice that there is now a latest topic title appears above the poster's information in the forum listings. There's a couple of other minor tweaks to be done, hopefully to...

Re: DFDS withdrawing passenger service Rosyth to Zeebrugge

But what is the real reason passengers aren't using it in order to make it viable? Is it cost? Last I looked it certainly wasn't cheap for a passenger (with or without car) to travel on it. Or is it just the current climate – all the operators on the English Channel are struggling to fill boats with...

UPDATE: The old saying . . . best laid plans . . . You are still seeing the original site for now. Everything is in place on the server, but I'm hitting problems with getting a subdomain recognised. It might be down to waiting on a DNS address propagating, so the forum is back online for a while til...

Changes coming at Ardrossan?

This week's local paper - the Ardrossan & Saltcoats Herald - has an article about the next phase of Irvine Bay's regeneration plans for Ardrossan. I've scanned the article in and attached it below. The site being developed is the former Shell Refinery which Irvine Bay have apparently purchased from ...
