Re: HIBERNIA

I am glad that the old girl is looking well again, she was simply too good of a tug to let die.

Give me her anyday with her 55 TBP than some fart arse Damen workboat with 55 TBP.

Brgds.

Re: RED SEA FOS

Good looking UT705, but why is her anti-fouling so high? Traditionally speaking this should run to the high of the deep load line, god help here if hers does!

Re: GRAY MAMMOTH

Whilst i was with Felixarc there were talk and some drawings made up with regards to putting an extra deck in her under the wheelhouse to put 4 single cabins twartships...

Seems that GPS have also cut away a section of the stern looking at the photos of her leaving the Medway?

I bet that the old girl was very happy to trot out and stretch her legs in a bit of a slop!

It is great to see the ATCL colours still running up and down the mighty Mersey!

Henk, The photo which is show the Deirdre is on charter to Klyne & Winnie Tugs (Lowestoft) Ltd. I guess that this would have been early 90's. I think after this she was under the management or Targe Towage based in Dundee and i think that they have now purchased her? I am sure that there will be som...

A robust looking tug, lovely bow. Funnels could have done with a little more work though!

Re: MSC VIKING

I wonder who will get the contract to run the boats? I can´t see Carmet keeping it and building new boats for the work, i don´t think that there is much $ profit in the work to go to the high cost of building new boats.

Re: CMS BUSTER

So what happened with this then? Clyde Marine not able to pay the bill and a snatch back?

I also note that MTS have not yet taken delivery of there new tug either from Damen and the Vengence is still going strong?

Re: Halcon II

What's the stats on this one? Looks like a big single screw from one engine looking at the exhaust with a large bow thruster fitted?

Guesstimate of 50 TBP?

She has been for sale, not too sure if she still is on the market but I am sure she has a price on her if the question is asked!

Does anyone have her BP?

From 4410 BHP on a single shaft i would expect to see at least 65 tonnes, probably more!

Re: "Singapore"

Hi all,

Does anyone know if Svitzers have any plans to replace these tugs or build in addition to them? They are not getting any younger and with the loss of the Waker the Ocean fleet is now down to 3 vessels, not much of a foot print in that market for the largest towage company!

Cheers.

Re: Pushycat PIKE II

I delivered this mighty vessel from Langston to Portland when she was bought by Griffin Towage. I think that she changed hands then for about 10K. She was a dog of a thing and very thin in places, especially under the shaft. She had an old Cummins in her which was from a standby generator at Gatwick...
